Live Camera Streaming, Snapshots & Timelapses

Watch your printers from anywhere with peer-to-peer live streams, dashboard snapshots, completion thumbnails, and per-print timelapses.

The camera, snapshot, and timelapse features below require updating Fuse.

Watch your printers from anywhere

  • Open a printer's detail page in the cloud app and the camera plays directly in the browser. Streaming is peer-to-peer for low latency and bandwidth, with an automatic relay fallback for stricter networks.
  • Snapshot poster on every printer detail page. The latest frame loads instantly with a play button overlay, so a live stream only starts when you actually want to watch.
  • Dashboard camera tile that surfaces the latest snapshot for every paired printer at a glance.

Per-print artifacts

  • Completion thumbnails. Fuse captures a fresh JPEG near the end of every print and attaches it to the job, so the print history shows what actually came off the bed instead of a slicer render.
  • Per-print timelapses. Fuse stitches captured frames into an MP4 timelapse for each completed print, viewable from the print job page.
  • Both are opt-in settings under Settings > Account > General.

Camera diagnostics

  • New Camera Activity page inside Fuse (Settings > Cameras > Activity) for troubleshooting snapshot and timelapse uploads, with per-printer status and recent failures.

New permission

  • printer.camera controls who can view live streams and snapshots. Granted to Owner, Admin, and Operator by default. Read-only roles do not get it. Granting this permission lets the holder watch the inside of your shop in real time, so review your role assignments accordingly.

New API endpoint

  • GET /v1/printers/:id/snapshot returns a signed URL to the most recent camera snapshot for a printer (60-minute TTL). Requires the new printer.camera permission on the API token.

Queue & matching

  • Printer matching troubleshooter now performs a live dry run for the selected job, showing accurate compatibility and state results for every printer regardless of its current state. Previously, busy or unready printers could falsely appear to pass material and tag checks.
  • Fixed a queue invisibility bug where increasing a group's quantity created clones the queue runner couldn't see, so the queue would skip the group and pull jobs from further down.
  • Better concurrency handling in the API for queue mutations, reorders, group quantity changes, and bulk re-prioritizes.

Other

  • Fuse desktop client now has a built-in auto-updater for Mac. For Docker, it notifies you of an available update on the settings page. Windows auto-updater coming soon (have to jump through some paperwork hoops).
  • New docs pages:
  • Auto bed leveling fixed for H2 and P2 series.
