OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer share the same slicing engine, so the choice is about workflow, not output quality. OrcaSlicer is a fork of Bambu Studio, which is itself a fork of PrusaSlicer, which means they inherit the same core. OrcaSlicer adds more built-in calibration and broader network-printer support with a busier UI; PrusaSlicer is more conservative and tightly integrated with Prusa hardware. They share a lineage

The key thing to understand is that these are relatives, not rivals from different families. The chain is Slic3r, then PrusaSlicer, then Bambu Studio, then OrcaSlicer. There is no wrong answer. The engines are the same, so pick the one whose workflow and printer support fit you, and know that switching later is low-cost.
