How to Sell 3D Prints on eBay, Etsy and Shopify Without a Third Order Screen
October 22, 2026
Adding eBay to an Etsy or Shopify print shop usually means one more order tab to check. Connect eBay to Printago and paid eBay orders land on the same Orders list, matched to the SKUs you already have, and can queue for printing on their own.
"I'd list on eBay tomorrow. What stops me is another tab."
If you run an Etsy shop or a Shopify store with a few printers, you have probably said something like this. The catalog is ready. The printers have spare hours. eBay has buyers you are not reaching. But Etsy already has its order screen, Shopify has its order screen, and eBay would be a third. Every morning would mean checking three places, and sooner or later one order gets missed or printed twice.
So the question is not whether eBay would sell. It is how to add a sales channel without adding a place to check.
Why adding eBay to an Etsy shop feels like more work than it is worth
It bites at a specific stage. You have outgrown one channel. The printers are not full every day. A second eBay handle, or a first one, looks like an easy way to fill them. Then you picture the routine.
A buyer pays on eBay at 9 at night. Nobody opens the eBay tab until Thursday. The order ships late, or not at all, and the feedback score takes the hit.
Or the order does get seen, and someone copies it into a spreadsheet or onto the whiteboard before it goes to the printers. Later someone else copies the same order from a different screen, and the same parts print twice.
How print sellers manage orders across marketplaces today
Most shops that do sell on more than one marketplace cope one of three ways:
- Tabs in rotation. Etsy, then Shopify, then eBay, checked in turn, several times a day.
- A copy step. Every paid order is written into a spreadsheet or onto a whiteboard before anything prints, and the sheet becomes the real queue.
- No eBay. The most common answer. The listings never go up, and those sales never happen.
None of these fix the actual problem, which is that orders live in a different place from the printers.
How to connect eBay to Printago
Printago is 3D print farm software that runs production from order to finished print. Shopify, Etsy, eBay and TikTok Shop orders become SKUs, print jobs, and fulfillment automatically. It works for a side hustle with three printers and for a facility with three hundred.
The eBay integration puts eBay orders on the same list as everything else. Setup takes a few minutes:
- Open Marketplace, find eBay, and click Activate. Activation is free.
- On the eBay add-on page, click Connect eBay Account. eBay's sign-in opens in a new window.
- Sign in with your seller account, grant access, and you land back in Printago with the connection confirmed.
Selling under more than one eBay handle? Click Connect eBay Account again for each one. They all sit on the same Printago store.
Do I need to rebuild my SKUs for eBay?
No. Printago reads your eBay listings and matches them to the SKUs you already set up for Etsy and Shopify. The phone stand that sells on Etsy is the same Printago SKU when it sells on eBay, with the same parts, materials and print settings behind it.
The one thing to check before you list: the SKU on the eBay listing has to match the Printago SKU. If it does not, the order imports with nothing to print.
How to auto-print eBay orders as soon as they are paid
On the eBay integration page, switch to the Settings tab. Two controls matter here:
- Auto-print. When it is on, every newly imported order is queued for printing immediately. Nobody has to see it first.
- Auto-close orders. Choose When shipped, When delivered, or Never, so finished orders clear off the list without you closing them by hand.
When a buyer pays, eBay notifies Printago and the paid order usually appears within seconds. An hourly sync sweeps behind it as a backstop, so an order that slips past the notification still comes in. Etsy and Shopify orders arrive the same way. With Auto-print on, the eBay order that would have waited until Thursday is on a printer before you see it.
How to see Etsy, Shopify and eBay orders in one list
Open Orders. The eBay order is on the same list as your Etsy and Shopify orders. There is no eBay tab to check, because there is no eBay screen in your routine at all.
To see where each order came from, turn on the optional Source and Shop columns from the column picker. Source shows the channel. Shop shows which store or account within it, which is what you need with two eBay handles.
Once more than one shop is connected, a filter appears above the list. Narrow it to one channel (every eBay account at once) or to a single shop. Two eBay handles and an Etsy shop are still one list, and one click shows just the handle you want.
Details are in the Orders docs.
How to stop marketplace orders from printing twice
If you leave Auto-print off and queue by hand, check an order on the Orders list and click Print Orders, or open it and click Print Order in the page header. The dialog shows the jobs it will add before you confirm.
Clicking it again later does not double the work. Printago reconciles the order against what is already queued and adds only new jobs. Nothing already in the queue is duplicated.
In the print queue, each job shows its order number and links back to the order, so anyone at the printers can tell which eBay, Etsy or Shopify sale a plate belongs to.
What a second sales channel is worth when it costs no extra checking
The point of adding eBay is new buyers. With the orders on one list, eBay becomes a set of buyers for the catalog you already have, printed on the printers you already run, with no third inbox to watch.
It also makes eBay cheap to test. The SKUs already exist and activation is free, so trying eBay costs a few listings, not a new morning routine. If it sells, those are hours your printers were sitting idle, filled. If you run a second eBay handle for a different product line, that is one more storefront and still one list.
Limits worth knowing before you list
- eBay listings need SKUs that match your Printago SKUs.
- The hourly sync only picks up orders that have not shipped yet, so old shipped history does not import. Settings → Sync Orders forces a manual sync.
- Eight eBay marketplaces are supported: US, UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, France, Italy and Spain.
- The Source and Shop columns are off by default, and the shop filter only appears once more than one shop is connected.
Add eBay without adding a screen
If the only thing keeping you off eBay is one more place to check, that reason is gone. Create a free account at printago.io, activate eBay in Marketplace, and your next eBay sale lands on the same Orders list as everything else.
