Skip Objects at Slice Time

Skipping objects before a print now re-slices the plate without them, so they're left out of the gcode entirely. This works on any printer, with time and material estimates that match exactly what you print.

When you skip objects on a plate before printing, Printago now re-slices the plate without them. The skipped models are left out of the gcode entirely, so you get a shorter print and estimates that reflect exactly what you chose to keep.

What's new

  • Skipping objects before a print now works on any printer, not just Bambu Lab. Because the plate is re-sliced, the skipped geometry never reaches the printer.
  • Time and filament estimates match the reduced plate. Skip two of five objects and the job is estimated as two objects, not five.
  • Reprinting a partially failed plate is simple. Skip the objects that already printed or failed, and Printago slices and prints only what is left.

How to use it

  • On a plate with more than one object, click the cube button on the plate image in the Print dialog.
  • Check the objects you want to skip. A badge shows the count, and at least one object must remain to print.
  • Printago re-slices the plate without them when the job runs.

Good to know

  • For files that are already sliced (a 3MF that already contains gcode), the objects cannot be sliced out. On Bambu Lab printers those objects are cancelled automatically when the print starts instead.
