--enable-timelapse
Activate timelapse for the slice and, when the timelapse_type preset is smooth, lock the wipe tower in so the per-layer park pause does not leave ooze on the print.
Details
Activates timelapse for this slice; it does not choose the mode. The mode (smooth or traditional) comes from the timelapse_type setting in the 3MF or preset. Smooth timelapse parks the toolhead at the side chute each layer for a clean snapshot, and because the nozzle can ooze during that pause it requires the wipe tower. Enabling it therefore keeps the wipe tower even on single-filament plates (normally dropped), prevents it from being removed after filament mapping, and reserves its footprint during arrangement. Traditional timelapse snapshots during normal travel, needs no wipe tower, and does not affect arrangement.
Watch out for
- ▲ The mode is the preset's, not this flag's: `--enable-timelapse` on a traditional preset gives traditional timelapse.
- ▲ A smooth-timelapse slice is geometrically different (wipe tower present, more material, longer time), so don't compare it to a non-timelapse slice of the same file.
