The Bambu Lab AMS (Automatic Material System) and the newer AMS 2 Pro are four-slot multi-material units, and Printago drives them end to end. Whether you connect through Bambu's cloud or locally over your network, Printago reads every AMS slot, shows the loaded filament and color, and assigns materials per slot so multi-color prints come out right. Chain up to four units for 16-color printing across the X1, P1, and H2 series.

What Printago does with the AMS

  • Per-slot material assignment. Printago reads each AMS slot, shows the loaded filament and color, and assigns the right material per slot so multi-color and multi-material prints stay in sync.

  • Up to 16 colors. Chain up to four AMS or AMS 2 Pro units and Printago tracks all 16 slots together across your whole fleet.

  • RFID reading. Bambu RFID spools are auto-detected and labeled with the correct material and color, and you can set materials manually for third-party filament.

  • Filament remapping without re-slicing. Route a sliced job to whichever printer is free: Printago remaps each color to the AMS slot the filament is actually loaded in, with no need to rearrange spools or re-slice.
