The Bambu Lab P1P is an open-frame CoreXY FDM printer with a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume and a maximum print speed of 500 mm/s at 20,000 mm/s² acceleration. It arrives fully assembled with automatic bed leveling, a direct-drive all-metal hotend rated to 300 °C, a textured PEI build plate, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an installable chamber camera and LED kit (720p, low frame rate, now bundled with new units), and is AMS-compatible for up to 16-color printing. The open frame makes it quieter to cool but unsuitable for ABS or ASA without aftermarket enclosure panels, and its interface is a basic monochrome display rather than a touchscreen.
Pros
- CoreXY kinematics deliver fast, consistent prints with a large 256 mm build volume
- Arrives fully assembled with auto-calibration; no manual tuning required
- AMS-compatible for multi-color workflows
- More affordable than the enclosed P1S while sharing the same motion system
Cons
- Open frame is unsuitable for ABS, ASA, or other warp-prone materials
- Monochrome text display feels dated compared to competitors at a similar price
- No active chamber temperature management
Supported accessories for the Bambu Lab P1P
Printago drives the P1P's multi-material hardware, not just the printer itself.
-
Bambu Lab AMS and AMS 2 Pro (4 slots). Printago reads each AMS slot over your local network, shows the loaded filament and color, and assigns materials per slot. Chain up to four units for 16-color printing.
-
Bambu Lab AMS HT. The single-spool AMS HT high-temperature unit is supported, with its loaded material tracked and assigned just like any other slot.
