The Bambu Lab P2S, released in October 2025, is the direct successor to the P1S: a fully enclosed CoreXY FDM printer with a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume and a raised maximum speed of 600 mm/s. Its primary hardware advance over the P1S is the DynaSense PMSM servo extruder, which delivers roughly 70% more extrusion force for improved reliability at higher speeds and with abrasive filaments. Other upgrades include a 5-inch color touchscreen, an adaptive cold-air intake flap that allows PLA to be printed with the door closed, an eddy-current pressure sensor for automatic flow calibration, tool-free quick-swap nozzles, and AI-powered failure detection. It is compatible with the AMS 2 Pro, which adds integrated filament drying and faster material changes.

Pros

  • DynaSense servo extruder provides more extrusion force, reducing under-extrusion at high speeds
  • Adaptive chamber airflow allows PLA printing with the door closed
  • 5-inch color touchscreen and AMS 2 Pro (with integrated drying) improve usability over the P1S
  • Tool-free quick-swap nozzle system supports 0.2 to 0.8 mm sizes

Cons

  • Passive chamber heating is insufficient for high-performance materials such as PEEK or PPS-CF
  • AMS 2 Pro cannot feed TPU or flexible filaments
  • Simultaneous filament drying and printing requires additional power infrastructure
