The Bambu Lab H2C is Bambu Lab's flagship multi-material CoreXY desktop printer, announced November 2025 at Formnext, built around the proprietary Vortek Multi-Material System. Rather than swapping filament through a single fixed nozzle, the H2C carries six interchangeable contactless hotends that can be swapped mid-print in seconds, enabling up to seven materials simultaneously without purge waste; combined with multiple AMS 2 Pro units it can manage up to 24 filament slots. The build volume is 330 × 320 × 325 mm, nozzles reach 350 °C, and an active chamber heats to 65 °C. With 59 sensors and a quad-camera system, it targets engineers, professional makers, and design studios where eliminating purge cycles justifies the premium.

Pros

  • Vortek swappable hotend system eliminates purge waste in multi-material prints
  • Up to 24 filament slots with AMS 2 Pro for large multi-color jobs
  • 65 °C active chamber heating and 350 °C nozzle support the full range of engineering filaments
  • 59 sensors and quad-camera AI monitoring for high reliability

Cons

  • Highest price in the H2 lineup
  • Vortek system adds mechanical complexity relative to single-nozzle designs
  • Large footprint with AMS units attached limits bench placement flexibility
