The Prusa MK4S High-Flow variant is the MK4S configured with the CHT-geometry high-flow nozzle as primary tooling, optimized for maximum throughput on the same 250 × 210 × 220 mm i3-style Cartesian platform. The high-flow nozzle uses a multi-channel internal geometry to increase melt-zone surface area, achieving 24 mm³/s volumetric flow versus 16 mm³/s on the original MK4 and enabling significantly faster wall and infill speeds. Combined with the MK4S’s 360-degree turbine cooling and input shaper, it is well suited to production environments or users regularly printing large volumes of PLA, PETG, or ASA.

Pros

  • 24 mm³/s volumetric flow rate enables faster print speeds without compromising quality
  • CHT nozzle geometry improves thermal transfer for consistent extrusion
  • Full MK4S feature set: 360-degree cooling, load-cell leveling, input shaper, NFC
  • Nozzle is user-swappable; standard nozzles remain compatible

Cons

  • High-flow benefit is most pronounced with speed-capable filaments
  • Same physical build volume as the MK4/MK4S; no additional print area
  • Still a bed-slinger; print-speed ceiling is lower than CoreXY platforms at equal quality
